On Saturday, the 3rd of
February, you and your family/friends are cordially invited to the
opening of an exhibition of new works by Ilona Popermajer. Artist in
attendance.
The opening
ceremony will take place between 11 am and 1 pm in the
award-winning new cultural complex in
Båstad, Kunskapscentrum
Agardh.

How can the
paintings of Popermajer be described? It is not always easy
to accurately describe what something tastes or feels like -
and some things in life you just have to experience
yourself. The art of Popermajer is one of those things. It is fleeting,
intangible, and evades description. You should let her
work connect to your feelings, not only to your
brain.
In accordance with the
traditional view of the self-sacrificing artist, she is completely
absorbed by the creative process, and nothing else matters
during bursts of intense inspiration. Art is everything. It has
to be exploratory and it must search for answers to important
questions. It must tell us something about
ourselves. The Studio of
Popermajer is located in the center of Malmö, close to Gustav Adolfs torg,
and is open to frequent visits by clients. A
solid reputation as an ambitious and capable contemporary
artist is complemented by an equally favorable reputation
as the founder and manager of renowned Galleri
Tapper-Popermajer. Invaluable impressions of the works
of other artists have thus fueled into her work.
Of local interest, during
2006, Tapper and Popermajer were acting as art
consultants for the municipality of
Höganäs.
